Renting is broken for both sides. Landlords chase payments and drown in messages. Tenants submit maintenance requests into a void. taKay started as a personal problem - I've been both - and became a deep exercise in designing for two completely opposite mental models within a single platform. The hardest part wasn't the features. It was making automation feel like control, not a loss of it.
